It isn’t always easy to love yourself. For most women, I think it’s easier for us to hate on ourselves with our inner voices. In today’s world, it’s tough. The pressures we face from the general media makes it all the more difficult to feel worthy in seemingly a world of perfection. But being in front of the camera can be empowering. I see transformations in the women I photograph all the time, and it’s honestly my favorite part about what I do. I believe if we force ourselves to get in front of the camera once a week, by the end of the year we will be more confident, treating ourselves better both physically and emotionally and hopefully, loving the skin we’re in. So, I created a private Facebook group called Love Myself-ie.
Each week, we post one selfie in the group and include a compliment or something nice about ourselves as a caption to the photos we share. This Facebook group is not about vanity – it’s about self-love. It is a private group to create and foster a loving community of women and to support one another. It is a place of trust and positivity.
If you’re interested in joining us on our journey to self-love, you can do so here. It’s never too late to hop in and invite other women you know. We could all use a little boost, especially one that comes from ourselves.
